Cologne, 13 December 2010. With immediate effect, the motor oil MOTUL 6100 Synergie+ 10W40 has now also been given approval RN0700 by Renault, thus once more clearly expanding the application range for the semi-synthetic, all-year low-viscosity oil.

The unusually powerful product MOTUL 6100 Synergie+ with viscosity of 10W40 has always enjoyed an outstanding reputation. It is simply ideal for spark ignition engines including BI fuel or LPG and for diesel engines with or without supercharging. Already in the past, the semi-synthetic all-year low-viscosity MOTUL oil fulfilled the manufacturer approvals MB 229.3 for Mercedes Benz and VW 502 00 – 505 00 for VW, which are otherwise only available for products with viscosity of 5W40. The Renault approval RN0700 considerably expands the application profile even further: MOTUL 6100 Synergie+ 10W40 is now also suitable for use in engines by the Renault Group with the Renault, Dacia and Samsung brands, particularly for petrol engines without turbocharger and diesel engines without diesel particulate filter and with an output of less than 100 hp with maximum servicing intervals of 20,000 km or once a year. The Renault Service Fill approvals are part of the dealership contract and specified for all vehicles from model year 2008. Alexander Hornoff, Technical Director at MOTUL Deutschland GmbH: “A motor oil with viscosity of 10W40 with Renault approval RN0700 is an interesting alternative for vehicles in the lower price segment, for example the Renault Modus 1.2 or for Dacia models with simple petrol engines without supercharging or diesel engines without diesel particulate filter, to keep the servicing costs on a particularly low level.”

Technical and financial advantages
Thanks to the high synthetic share with the resulting high quality, the performance and approvals of the MOTUL motor oil 6100 Synergie+ 10W40 correspond to the quality of a motor oil with viscosity of 5W40. It can also help to considerably reduce wear-related oil consumption in high-mileage vehicles compared to motor oils of similar quality with viscosity of 5W40.
